Set Designer Stefan Beckman was featured in the October Out Magazine "Tastemaker's Issue". Here is what they had to say about Beckman:
"When Victoria's Secret needs to transport its glamazon models to a lingerie Thunderdome or when Tiffany needs to create a winter wonderland in the middle of a Manhattan summer, it's Stefan Beckman who gets the call. Likewise, in 2006, when Marc Jacobs decided he needed to give his runway show a healthy dose of theatricality, his first call was to Beckman (who has done his Fashion Week ready-to-wear shows ever since). Though "set designer" sounds like a gross oversimplification of the work he does, that's how the Texas-bred 43 year-old describes himself. No stranger to this scrap yard in Brooklyn where he was shot, he's just as likely to turn up at luxury fashion houses like Hermes, whose men's store opening he produced this year, and Harry Winston, for which he's staging a party for in November. That month also marks the opening of the Balenciaga retrospective at the Queen Sofia Spanish Institute in New York City, on which Beckman has collaborated with Oscar de la Renta and Vogue's Hamish Bowles."
